![]() We were there for a couple of hours, and by the end of that time, I was recovering the normal use of my legs, which was a tremendous relief, as I had been wondering if it were going to ruin our trip. So I was pushed in the wheelchair into a shady location, and my daughter was seated in the front row of a spectacular show with beautiful, well-cared for dolphins performing amazing feats! During the show, the announcer offered a "special greeting for their friend Cecilia" ! Afterwards my daughter was taken to the edge of the pool to pet one of the dolphin performers! Manzo said he thought we'd really enjoy it. Manzo asked if we would like to go to the dolphin show, Dolphinaris. ![]() She was very happy and had more fun than she would have it if had only been with me (and I wouldn't have gone down the slides with her).Īnd then, as the highlight of our afternoon, Mr. He took her to all of the attractions at the park, going down the slides with her, and going into the wave pool and down the lazy river with her. I don't remember the name of the young woman who was with my daughter for a while, but the young man who spent the most time with her was Carlos Enrique Balán Paredes, who showed the most exceptional friendliness and kindness toward both of us. He asked for a couple of employees to come, and he asked them to take my daughter around the park, accompanying her on all the slides and other activities, while another pushed me in the wheelchair. He gave me bottled water, saying it was important not to become dehydrated in the heat. I told him I'd be glad to pay for whatever we needed, but he said that he would not accept any payment, being primarily worried about my health. He called for a wheelchair and helped me into it. Manzo, who came immediately and showed great concern. She asked if I wanted her to call a doctor, but I said there was nothing a doctor could do to help me. I told a waitress that I felt very ill, dizzy and nauseated, and unable to walk. We could have taken a taxi back to our hotel, but then my daughter would have been distraught at missing the experience she most wanted to do on our trip. I was dismayed, frightened, and didn't know what to do. Once many years ago, my left arm and leg were paralyzed for a month in an attack, but that was the only time I have ever experienced paralysis and complete inability to walk even holding onto things for balance. ![]() I had no idea what was going to happen, if the symptoms would clear or get worse. But when I stood up, I not only couldn't walk straight, but my legs were uncontrollable and went out far to the side when I tried to walk. I wasn't hungry, but thought I'd feel well enough to keep going after resting in the shade of the restaurant for a while. I thought I'd just rest for a few minutes and told my daughter to go to the buffet and serve herself what she wanted to eat. Unfortunately, i have multiple sclerosis, and once I sat down I started to feel dizzy and nauseated again, when I had thought that the seasickness had ended. When we planned our trip to Mexico, going to Wet'n Wild was her number one preference, at the top of her list of places she wanted to go. ![]() After we got back to shore, she recovered quickly, and after about an hour I felt better, well enough to go to Wet'n Wild as we had planned. We had made an excursion in a submarine that morning to see the MUSA statues and the undersea life, but I had not realized that the vessel was going to tip back and forth the whole time. My daughter and I went to Wet'n Wild on November 22, 2019.
